SCHOLARSHIPS AND PRIZES:

1. Fee concessions, freeships (other than endowment scholarships) and loan scholarships are granted in accordance with rules prescribed by the Director of Collegiate Education or the Director of Social Welfare or the D.P.I as the case may be.

2. If after a student has been elected for the award of a freeship scholarship or a loan scholarship, there is a deterioration in his conduct or his application to studies, (as indicated by his performance in tests and examination) or there is a decline in attendance at the College, he is liable to forfeit the said award.

ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIPS AND PRIZES

A number of Endowment Scholarships and Prizes are institued by various agencies. Students satisfying the prescribed criteria are selected for the award of these Sholarships and Prizes, which will be given during the Annual Day Celebration.

  1. The Shanker Vittal Motor Company Scholarship : To be awarded to a poor and deserving who is on the rolls of the College.
  2. The United Trading & Workshop Scholarship : To be awarded to a poor and deserving student who is on the rolls of the College.
  3. The Kalmadi Laxminaraya Rao and Nagaveni Amma Memorial Scholarship : To be awarded to the deserving poor student of the South Kanara Dravida Brahmin Community studying in this College.
  4. The Udupi Lions Club Prize: To be awarded to the student, who without a failure in any examination to his discredit, stands first among the candidates in the B.A. Examination.
  5. Udupi Laxmi Bhai Endowment Prize : To be awarded to the women student , who passed out from P.P.U College , Udupi with the highest marks in the Humanities combination in the Pre-University course among the women students in the First Year B.A. Course in the College.
  6. Late S. Krishna Bhat Endowment Prize(awarded by staff): To be awarded to a student of III B.B.M who scores the Highest mark in the III and IV semester together.
  7. Late K. Srinivas Rao. Endowment Prize : This is awarded to a student of II B.B.A who obtains the highest total marks in the first two semesters in the University Examination.
  8. Late H. Muralidhar Shenoy Endowment Prize in Sanskrit : Four prizes are awarded for obtaining the highest percentage of marks in Sanskrit.
  9. Pangal Nayak Bank Limited Trust Scholarship : To be awarded to a student who scores the highest aggregate marks in the Final B.Com. Examination
  10. Late Y. Sathish Kumar Endowmwnt Prize : To be awarded to the student of the final year B.Com. who scores the highest aggregate marks in Accountancy in the University Examinations
  11. Barkur Rangayya Upadhya memorial Fund Scholarship : To be awarded to a student of the II B.Sc. who has scored the maximum marks in Chemistry in I B.Sc.
  12. Bailur Vasudev Rao Endowment Prize : To be awarded to the student scoring the highest marks in the final year B.Sc. (BZC) examination.
  13. Students’ Council 1982-83 Endowment Scholarship : To be awarded to the Final B.Com. student.
  14. Ajith Kumar Endowment Prize : To be awarded to a (a) Champion in the College Sports and (b) Student scoring the highest marks in Advanced Accounts in the Final B.Com. Class.
  15. Late K. Prasad Endowment Prize : To be awarded to a student who scores the highest total marks in optional subjects both in the V and VI Semester of B.B.A.
  16. Late Kanaradi Laxminarayana Bhat Endowment Prize : To be awarded to the student of the College who has excelled in studies, sports, cultural and literary activities.
  17. G.S. Maiya Family Endowment Prize : To be awarded to the best student of the College who has excelled in studies, sports, cultural and literary activities.
  18. Kidiyoor Nagalaxmi Srinivas Trust : To be awarded to 8 student of I and II B.Sc. classes standing first in the four different Combinations.
  19. Late Sri Karkada Narasimha Adiga Endowment Fund : To be awarded equality to one boy student and one girl student of III year B.Com. Degree Examinations are the highest.
  20. Dr. B.B. Rajapurohit Kannada Prize : To be awarded to the Student who scores highest marks in optional Kannada in the Final B.A. Examination.
  21. U.R.G. Nayak Endowment Prize : To be awarded to the student who stands First in Final B.A. Examination.
  22. Vanitha U. R. Gundu Nayak Endowment Prize : To be awarded to the student who scores highest marks in Final B.B.A. Examination.
  23. Gautham Shetty & Ashwin Shetty memorial Endowment Scholarship : To be awarded to two students who score highest marks in English Optional in III B.A Examination.
  24. Mrs. Pevina S. James Memorial Endowment Scholarship: To be given to the student scoring highest marks in I B.Com. & also to a student scoring highest marks in II B.Com. University Examination.
  25. Late Sri K. Ananth Shenoy Memorial Endowment Scholarship: To be given to a student of I year B.Com. class who had scored highest marks in the previous examination (II PUC Commerce of P.P.U. College , Udupi and who is economically backward.)
  26. Late Sri Upendra Shrinivasa Nayak memorial Endowment Scholarship : To be given to a deserving final year degree student.
  27. Scholarship by Sri Manohar Rao : To be awarded to two deserving candidates.
  28. Subhashchandra memorial Endowment Prize sponsored by sadana Trust : Awarded to two optional English students.
  29. Smt. Gangamma & C.H. Venkateshwara Bhat Endowment scholarship: Awarded to two students of B.Sc. (BZC).
  30. Bhavani Bai Trust Endowment Prize: To be awarded to a poor deserving Brahmin Student.
  31. D.G.Hegde Memorial Scholarship : To be awarded to four final year B.A.,B.Sc.,B.Com and B.B.A. Students with highest aggregate marks in Sanskrit.
  32. Final Year B.A (2007-08) Endowment Scholarship: To be awarded to a deserving student of final year B.A.
  33. Late Sri GopalKrishna Adiga Endowment Prize : To be awarded to two students based on ‘Adigara Kavanagala Gayana Sparde’
  34. Neelavara Nayak Family Scholarship : To be awarded to two students of II B.sc and III B.Sc. with highest marks in Computer Science.
  35. Golden Jubilee year Scholarships sponsored by Department of Commerce and Management : To be awarded to twele B.Com. and BBM Students.
  36. Sri U.S Nayak memorial Endowment Scholarship : To be awarded to a deserving student of second year degree class.
  37. B. Vasantha Shetty Memorial Scholarship : To be awarded to a student scoring highest marks in ‘History of Tulunadu’.
  38. Madhwacharya Sanskrit Prize Awarded by Aprameya Paduthonse : One for I year B.Sc. Student (studying in II year in the College), other to the II year B.Sc. Student (studying in III year in the college), who score the highest marks in Sanskrit in the corresponding University Examination.

Financial Assistance to needy students:

PPC-PTA Students Welfare Fund provides Financial Assistance to needy students, based on the financial position and academic performance of the students.

PROFICIENCY PRIZES

These are awarded on the College Day each year. The selection is made based on the marks obtained in the University Examinations. There are two categories of Proficiency Prizes:

  • 1. Two General Proficiency Prizes awarded to students securing the highest total marks considering all the subjects together (separately for different comibinations in case of B.A. and B.Sc. classes).
  • 2. Subject Proficiency Prizes awarded to students scoring the highest marks each of the subjects.

Both these prizes are awarded to the students who pass all other subjects and obtain more than 60% marks.

PRIZES AWARDED BY H. H. SRI SRI SRI VIBUDHESHA THEERTHA SWAMIJI

  1. One student from Science stream studying presently in final year B.Sc. who has secured highest marks in all the science subjects during the four semesters. Cash award : Rs. 5,000/-
  2. One student studying presently in final year B.A. / B.Sc./B.Com, who has secured highest marks in English subject during the last four semesters. Cash award: Rs.5,000/-
H. H. Sri Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji Memorial Prizes
H. H. Sri Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji, Founder President od Sri Admar Mutt Education Council had installed two sets of Prizes as follows:
Two Student in each stream, (B.Sc.,B.A.,B.Com.,BBA) and in each year (I,II,III) scoring highest total marks in two semesters of previous academic year.

These prizes will be given during the Annual Day Celebration.
